Sew something useful for yourself or create a handmade gift for someone special! In this intermediate sewing class, you’ll make a cute two-pocket wallet that’s perfect for holding your ID, credit cards, and some cash.

All materials are provided.

Prerequisite: You must have completed an Idea Zone 101 sewing class or a one-on-one sewing session to participate.

Scarecrow Frame Pickup Is Underway!

Ready to take center stage? Stop by Cherry Valley Public Library to purchase your scarecrow frame and get first dibs on your preferred location!

Frames are just $10 each, and locations are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

This year’s theme is “Hits All the Right Notes”! Lean into the musical theme and create your favorite artist or band. Or, even better, put yourself in the spotlight by creating a scarecrow of yourself playing your instrument of choice!

Pick up your frame during the month of September while supplies last. Then let your creativity take center stage and create a scarecrow that’s sure to hit all the right notes!

Have extra produce from your garden? Share it with those in need!

Cherry Valley Public Library serves as a drop-off site for the Plant a Row for the Hungry program. Bring your extra homegrown fruits and vegetables to the library, and help provide fresh produce to members of our community.

Medicare 101: The Details You Didn’t Know You Needed

Medicare is health insurance for people 65 and older. Some people may qualify earlier due to a disability, End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), or ALS.
