Our thoughts and prayers are with the Harlem-Roscoe Fire Protection District, Firefighter/Paramedic Morgan's family, friends, and all those affected by this loss.

Motorists may experience temporary traffic delays and notice an increased presence of first responder vehicles along the procession route and in the downtown area. Please use caution, allow extra travel time, and be mindful as the community honors Firefighter/Paramedic Morgan's service and sacrifice.

FIRST RESPONDER PROCESSION: This morning at approximately 11:30 AM, a procession of first responders will es**rt Harlem-Roscoe Fire Protection District Firefighter/Paramedic John Morgan from the Winnebago County Coroner’s Office. Emergency response vehicles will be staged in the area of Elm Street. Please expect traffic delays and allow the procession to pass with respect. Our community mourns the loss of one of our own.

Results are in! During the Memorial Day 2026 "Click It or Ticket" campaign, the Cherry Valley Police Department worked to keep our roads safe through increased traffic enforcement and seat belt compliance efforts. Thank you to everyone who buckled up and helped make safety a priority.

As we honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation this Memorial Day, the Cherry Valley Police Department extends its deepest gratitude and remembrance to all who served and gave their lives in defense of our freedoms.

Thank you to Rigo and the team at Texas Roadhouse for the mid-afternoon treats as we head into Memorial Day weekend. Your generosity and support are truly appreciated and gave Cherry Valley personnel a great boost to finish the week strong.
