Reminder: Tomorrow is the City of Cherry Hills Village’s 2026 Annual Contractors Meeting at City Hall.

The workshop will include practical information and updates related to permitting, inspections, engineering, planning, stormwater requirements, right-of-way permits, code enforcement, and related development processes within Cherry Hills Village.

The meeting is open to contractors, homeowners, design professionals, and residents interested in learning more about how projects move through review and permitting within the Village.

Whether you’re a contractor, architect, engineer, homeowner planning a project, or simply interested in learning more about how development and permitting work in Cherry Hills Village, you’re invited to attend the 2026 Annual Contractors Meeting on Thursday, May 28.

This half-day informational workshop will feature presentations from City staff and partner agencies covering topics including permitting, inspections, engineering, stormwater, right-of-way requirements, planning, code enforcement, and more.

Attendees will have the opportunity to better understand City processes and requirements, hear practical guidance and best practices, and learn more about how projects move through review and permitting.

The footbridge from the High Line Canal to the east side of Quincy Farm is being replaced for safety reasons! The old bridge was removed this morning, and we will be building the replacement (also a wooden bridge) over the next 4-6 weeks. The east side of the Farm is still open for visitors - please enter from the bike path along Quincy Avenue. Thank you!

Street Improvement Projects Begin May 20 in Cherry Hills Village

Cherry Hills Village’s 2026 Street Improvement Program will begin this week, with roadway maintenance work scheduled throughout the community.

Hot-in-Place Asphalt Overlay on Quincy Avenue
- Between South Holly Street and South Clarkson Street
- Begins May 20
- Expected completion: Mid-June (weather dependent)

Annual Chip Seal Project
- Multiple neighborhood locations
- Begins May 26
- Expected completion: Early June (weather dependent)

Residents may experience temporary lane closures, traffic delays, construction activity, and periodic access impacts near active work zones.

Spring Clean-Up is TOMORROW — Saturday, May 16!

Cherry Hills Village residents are invited to take part in the City’s annual Spring Clean-Up event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Public Works Facility (2101 W. Quincy Ave., Sheridan).

Residents can drop off items for:
✔️ Paper shredding
✔️ Electronics recycling
✔️ Yard debris & tree branches
✔️ Paint products
✔️ Batteries & fluorescent bulbs

Please note: mattresses, tires, hazardous chemicals, construction materials, large appliances, and tube TVs will NOT be accepted.

This event is for Cherry Hills Village residents only. City staff will be checking IDs, so please bring a driver’s license showing a CHV address.
