It’s Chicken BBQ week! Come out and support us this Sunday April 26th and get some delicious food! Come check out our newly remodeled kitchen that the guys and gals have been working so hard on the last couple months, which wouldn’t be possible without the support of our great community! 40 years ago today, the Flood of 1985 changed our lives forever! That was one of my most important reasons for working so hard all of those years to save The Hilltop! The Hilltop was used as an Evacuation site for the Flood Victims of 1985 and several flooding events after that. I was completely devastated when I had to give up on the fight to save it but it was worth trying and those who helped me knows I did the best I could!

Lambert Reunion at The Lambert Hilltop Park
Sunday, August 10, 2025. We had 40 people attending, a few had left before we got pictures but a pretty good turn out to say the least. Everyone had a great time. Many Thanks to all who prepared food and spent the day with us! Thank you to Horizons Learning Foundation and Bryan Williams for the amazing cake and cookie plater!

Today we held our Annual Lambert Reunion and Last Association Meeting.
Several was absent but we still had a good turn out!

I also just realized that we officially signed the Lambert Hilltop Park over to Horizon’s Learning Foundation on June 28, 2024, exactly 58 years ago on June 28, 1966 was the day the Lambert families purchased the land to start the park. I’m not even sure how that happened because we did not plan that date, it just happened. Maybe a sign from our ancestors?🤷🏼‍♀️ who knows, I just find it strange but I sure do hope it’s a positive sign!

Friday, June 28th 2024 was a bitter sweet day for me and my family, but the best interest of the park was my main priority! We Gifted the Lambert Hilltop Park to Horizons Learning Foundation, they will be taking over from here.
I am so thankful that the CEO of this company took the time to listen to my plea for help! We gave it our all and did our very best to maintain it since 2016 when Habitat for Humanity left. We just could not raise enough funds in our small community to sustain or maintain a building of this size. Horizons Learning Foundation is another Nonprofit that has accomplished so many great things thus far and they have amazing ideas for the park. There is a lot of work to be done before they can even utilize the building, but I am certain that the park will flourish from this decision! Thank you to everyone near and far and also to all area businesses who has stood by me and supported me along the way, we would have never made it this far without your continued dedication. Great things are to come, we just ask for patience as we make this transition.
