Compassion Outreach Ministry “For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink We have individuals available to help with this.

We are a local food pantry and clothes closet that is currently servicing the Cherokee, Alabama area. We stock food, clothes, shoes, and other items such as furniture, sheets, and house hold items. We have a food and clothes distribution on the 3rd Saturday of every month. It is from 9 to 11am and is located in the fellowship hall of our church, First Baptist Church of Cherokee. If you are in need

of assitance from us feel free to come to our distribution and fill out an application and a few pieces of paperwork. You will also need to bring with you a form of identification (driver's license, etc.), proof of SNAPS (prefer acceptance letter), proof of residence (utility bill, phone bill, etc.). Feel free to contact us at anytime. If you would like to help our ministry grow feel free to donate canned goods or non-perishable food items and money at any time! If you have items such as clothes or furniture please contact us. This is due to limited storage issues. We will let you know if we will be able to take these at that current time or not. If you are donating clothes, shoes or other house hold items please remember that they need to be gently used. If you would not wear them or use it in your home it is probably not acceptable for someone else. We also keep things on hand to help families that experience a disaster such as a tornado, house fire, flood, etc. If you know of someone who has experienced this please let us know or put them in contact with us. Come join us for Prayer and Mid-Week Bible study at 6:30pm.

If you have children or youth we have something for them as well. They will eat at 6:15pm with class to follow.

We will not have services tonight (Wednesday March 11, 2026) due to the possibility of severe weather. Please stay safe this evening and we will see you back on Sunday Morning at 9:30am for Sunday School and 10:30am for Service.
