Central and Southern Colbert County has now been added to the Severe Thuinderstorm Warning to include the Maud, Pogo and Rock Creek Communities.

The National Weather Service in Huntsville has Issued a New Severe Thiunderstorm Warning for Eastern Colbert County for a storm pushing South from Lauderdale County. At the moment the cluster of storms to our North Do Not pose a severe threat to Western Colbert but that could change as they push across our area. Please remain weather aware!

⚠️WEATHER ALERT⚠️

Severe Thunderstorm Warning – Colbert County

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Colbert County. Currently, the storm that prompted the warning is located in central and eastern Lauderdale County, moving south-southeast.

The warning area includes central and eastern Colbert County. At this time, storms appear to be moving away from areas west of Red Rock toward the state line. While this could change if additional storms develop, there are currently no storms moving directly toward our area.

Residents are advised to stay alert and monitor updates in case conditions change.

We are monitoring storms approaching from the west and north this morning. At this time, none have reached severe levels that would warrant alerts for our area.

We will continue to watch conditions closely and are hopeful they will pass with only rain and occasional thunder. If anything changes, we will provide updates as soon as possible.
As always, please remember that we are not professional meteorologists, and our priority remains emergency response. Because of that, we may not always be able to provide real-time updates here. We strongly encourage everyone to have multiple ways to receive weather alerts during severe weather events.
