Cherokee Village American Legion Post 346 The goals of the Cherokee Village American Legion Post 346 include the following:

Ensuring all Veterans receive appropriate honors, entitlements, and burial.

Ensuring sustainment of the American Veterans Memorial in Ash Flat involving maintenance and additional monuments and symbols. Ensuring area Veterans have flags placed on their grave sites annually on Memorial Day. Ensuring Veteran ceremonies for all appropriate events. They are Memorial Day, Patriot Day, Veterans Day, Pearl Harbor Day, and other special events. These events are held a

t the American Veterans Memorial in Ash Flat as well as the local high school. Ensuring that the young students of this area understand and embody the why of those Veteran events and Veteran service. Ensuring that both boy and girl students have the opportunity to participate in Boys and Girls State respectively. When requested, we provide Honor Guards for parades and post Colors for all requested special events. Offer contests for the American Legion Scholarships. Provide American Flag information, brochures, and education to those who need it. This will ensure proper respect for the flag and unified actions of participants in events involving the flag. Ensure all equipment and training for the above events is provided and all participants are certified for their task.
