🚨BREAKING NEWS 🚨

Tractor Trailer Crashed Into Water
📍US Rt 13 (SB) - Virginia

Multiple First Responders have been dispatched to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge in Virginia for a motor vehicle crash. It's reported that a tractor trailer went off the bridge and into the water.

Update #1 at 7:16 AM - Confirmed one vehicle in the water.

Update #2 at 7:20 AM - First responders are calling this a “recovery”. ⚠️Please avoid this area due to the crash investigation. Traffic will be delayed. Please allow first responders to work without obstruction. Updates will be posted below as more information becomes available.

Update #3 at 4:11 PM - We can now confirm that the driver of the Perdue Truck that was crossing the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel and drove over the side of the bridge, was confirmed to be deceased. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this tough time.

Due to ongoing renovations bingo will be postponed until January 13, 2026. We can't wait to see everyone again.

With freezing temperatures again tonight we have canceled bingo for this evening 12/9/25. Next Tuesday will be our last bingo for 2025. Tell your friends. We will have free food. Everyone stay safe and warm and we hope to see you next week.

Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of two iconic people. Bill Powell and Jackie Bailey were two great men that served this community whole heartedly until their final days. The Fire and EMS communities are here for your families. We have it from here brothers.
