"My mother and father started Jones Furniture in 1963. The whole family worked there, and I purchased it from them. We moved into the old Robertson factory 13 years ago, turning it into our showroom and warehouse.
I've been in the furniture business my entire life. You see in our logo 'Jones Furniture for Life', and we mean it. We want to be there for customers for life. With so many online retailers today, we're one of the few local furniture stores remaining. But we offer an experience you can't get online: the customer knows exactly what they're buying. They can come and sit on the product, touch it, feel it. You can lay down on the mattresses. That makes all the difference.
We enjoy furniture, but we love serving people. Everybody that comes through that door is our friend, and we help our friends. We've helped the grandparents, we helped the parents, now we're helping the children because they trust us.
Cheraw is a small town and a great place for people to raise their children and retire. We have lots of activities. Sports are a big thing here, and the people are friendly. We have a lot of retirees moving in and when they do, they want to be part of the community. The people are friendly and there's so much going on that if you want to get out and do something, you can. There's always something going on in Cheraw that you can get out and meet people and do something and have fun.
Cheraw is home. Whether you have lived here your entire life or you've just been here a year, you can make Cheraw your home. It's a place where you don't just live, but where you can belong."
