As we end August, we wanted to make a post for National Emergency Management Awareness Month.
Throughout fire season, this is the team getting you all the fire information for Jefferson County. When there’s a fire, it is all hands on deck for our teams but, these two will spend countless hours behind the scenes. From coordinating with all the local partners to updating maps, sending evacuation notices and posting all the updates to social media, this duo works around the clock to deliver timely and accurate information to each of you.

🐻Bear Spotted in Crooked River Ranch

A black bear has been spotted on SW Mare Place in CRR earlier today with the call coming in around 7:30 am.

ODFW and OSP have both been notified.
Please do not bother the bear but if spotted, please immediately notify non-emergency dispatch at 5413842080.

The only area in Jefferson County that still remains under a level of evacuation are the zones of SE 19 and the southern half of NE 18 in the Rowe Creek Complex.
This area is still in a level one BE READY evacuation level.
*All other levels and zones have been lifted.
