FIRE DANGER RATING UPDATE 🔥

The fire danger rating has officially increased from LOW to MODERATE in our area. As temperatures rise and vegetation begins to dry out, the risk of wildfires increases significantly.

Please use extra caution with:
• Outdoor burning
• Campfires and fire pits
• Equipment that creates sparks
• Ci******es and smoking materials
• Parking vehicles on dry grass

-Even a small spark can quickly become a fast-moving fire under the right conditions.

âś… Check local burn restrictions and rules before burning.

âś… Contact Fire District #3 prior to burning. (509) 235-6645

âś… Keep water and tools nearby when using outdoor flames.

âś… Fully extinguish fires until cool to the touch.

âś… Report smoke or fire immediately.

Let’s all do our part to help prevent wildfires and keep our community safe this season. 🚒🌲

We had an incredible time at Medical Lake School District’s STEM Night last night! 🚒

Our crew connected with so many curious and enthusiastic students while sharing the exciting opportunities a career in the fire service can offer. Kids got hands-on experience exploring our apparatus, trying on turnout gear, and even spraying hoses!

One of the highlights of the night? Watching a Huey from Fairchild AFB land—such an awesome moment for everyone there.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to learn, ask questions, and have some fun with us. The future is bright! 🔥👩‍🚒👨‍🚒

This job takes teamwork, trust, and a commitment to something bigger than ourselves. We’re proud to stand alongside all of you in service to our communities.

To every firefighter, near and far—thank you for what you do.

Week 2 & 3 of the Regional Fire Academy are complete.

Recruits stepped into the heat—diving into ventilation, fire behavior, and advancing hose lines.

They completed their first live burn, putting classroom knowledge into real-world action.

Skills are being built, confidence is growing, and the standard is being set. These recruits are learning what it takes to perform when it matters most—and they’re rising to the challenge.
