EWU Pride Center The Pride Center is a welcoming and affirming student-centered space located on the campus of EWU.

The Pride Center provides support and advocacy, empowers student voices, connects community members to on-campus and local resources, creates and facilitates inspiring programs and events, and delivers educational trainings and workshops to members of the EWU community. Guided by a deep understanding of the need for intersectional social justice frameworks, the Pride Center is committed to strong

alliances and partnerships with diverse cultural, ethnic, political, spiritual, and arts communities at EWU and beyond.

We’re doing book club y’all! Pop by the Pride Center this week to pick up your copy of Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz! We’ll be meeting next Tuesday at noon to talk about the reading guide, and a little background on the book and author. Hope to see you there!

Tammy Baldwin was the first openly gay person to be elected to both chambers of Congress. She was elected to the House of Representatives in 1993 and the Senate in 2013.

We are kicking the month off strong by highlighting a q***r woman in STEM, Sally Ride. Even though Sally Ride wasn’t an out le***an woman in her lifetime, she is credited to be the first gay woman at NASA.
