Spring is a great time for competitions. At Chelsea Middle School, we went above and beyond and didn’t stop locally or even at the state level. Archery and BPA(Business Professionals of America) decided to take it all the way to Nationals; 23 Archery and 2 BPA students! Without community support, this would not have been possible. Thank you so much for supporting our students and teachers!

Today, 7th grade students attended the Greenwood Rising History Center after the conclusion of their novel study of “Tulsa Burning.” This experience gave students the opportunity to connect the historical fiction they explored in the novel to the real-life events of the Tulsa Race Massacre and witness the resilience and rebuilding of the Greenwood community.

We are thankful for immersive learning experiences like this and the opportunities they provide for our students to deepen their understanding of history, empathy, and community. 💚

Chelsea Middle School was represented at the Eastern Oklahoma State Spelling Bee in Muskogee last night by Nila Harjo & Sylver Perretti. Both students did a great job & we are so proud of them! 💚👏🏼

Two out of four of our 8th grade BPA(Business Professionals of America) students, Freya Markland and Ellie Chuculate will be traveling to Nashville, TN in May to compete in the National Leadership Conference. We have to do some quick fundraising to make this happen. It’s a 6 day trip, so there will be expenses. If you would like to donate to help these girls move on to the next level, please let Mrs. Harris or Mrs. Wilson know. Your support is greatly appreciated!

Congratulations to 8th graders Elle Choculate (1st place) and Nathan Lee (3rd place) for winning/placing in the Digital Poster Contest at the 2026 Tulsa Engineering Challenge. Ellie will receive $100 and Nathan, $50. Way to go!
