What a great morning in Chelsea! Thank you to everyone who came out for today’s Chelsea 5K Road Race and helped make it such a great event. It was great to see so many people come together, get moving, and show their Chelsea pride. 💙

Congratulations to all of the runners and participants, with a special congratulations to Delmace Mayo, winner of the United in Ability wheelchair division! 🏆👏♿️

Awesome design! Congratulations 🎉

Congratulations to Vahdair, the 10-year old whose design was selected for this year's *Chelsea Kiwanis Track & Field Day* T-shirt! He drew his design at an event hosted by our partner (and Kiwanis member!), Harbor Area Family Resource Center. We all agree that he captured the special spirit of Chelsea in his design! And for that he will receive a $100 gift card prize. Bon travay!👏

🐾 Hi everyone, I’m a little lost… can you help me find my way home? 🐾

I went on an unintended adventure today and was found wandering around 58 Library Street. Some very nice officers brought me to the Chelsea Police Department so I can stay safe and warm, but I really miss my family!

A little bit about me:

Who I am: A little guy (male) with scruffy black wire fur and a small patch of white on my chest.

Breed: I look a lot like a Terrier mix (maybe a Schnauzer or Patterdale Terrier blend).

Current status: Hanging out with the CPD team, hoping my humans are looking for me!

If you recognize me or know my family, please call my temporary caretakers at 617-466-4800. Please share so I can get back to my own bed tonight! 🐶💙

Subject: Best Wishes to Officer Darien Lavino

August 28th marks Officer Darien Lavino’s last day with the Chelsea Police Department as she begins an exciting new chapter in her career with the Trial Court Probation Department. Although she is leaving our agency, she will continue serving the community and contributing to the criminal justice system in a new capacity.

I want to take a moment to thank Officer Lavino for everything she has brought to our department. Her high energy, compassion, and genuine commitment to helping others have made a lasting impression on the people she has served and on all of us who have had the privilege of working alongside her.

Of course, we cannot say goodbye to Officer Lavino without mentioning her uncanny dog-whispering abilities. Her special connection with our four-legged friends has been truly remarkable and has become one of the many qualities that made her such a valued and memorable member of our CPD family.

While we are certainly sorry to see her leave, we are proud of her as she takes this next step in her career. We know she will bring the same dedication, compassion, and enthusiasm to the Trial Court Probation Department that she demonstrated here at the Chelsea Police Department.
