Please have human decency! Do NOT write vulgar words or draw vulgar parts on the underpass walls. Do NOT use spray paint at all! Do NOT write on the south wall (mural side) anywhere at all! And please, absolutely NO stickers.
We are a very small community group ( Project Chelsea) who maintains the underpass. It's not the city who pays for it. We have worked hard for 10 years to raise money to paint, install cameras and take care of it as well as we can. We have had more vandals than we can keep up with and it's very aggravating and disheartening that we have to deal with this kind of garbage. There is NO reason for it! It's hard to imagine why anyone feels it necessary to do such things. We continually have to clean up and paint over what these ugly people do.
We do have cameras and when you are caught we file a police report. You will be responsible for damages! We've done it numerous times and we'll keep doing it over and over.
ADULTS - please be human and don't do this. You will pay for it when you are caught. PARENTS - please teach your children this is wrong and illegal and they will pay the consequences of their actions. It's not funny or cute!
TRAVELERS - We hope you stop and enjoy our underpass. We welcome visitors from all across the world. When you see vulgarity please excuse us for it and don't think Chelsea is a bad place for the few ugly seeds who do this. We monitor it as much as we possibly can and cover it up as soon as time allows.
