Please help us congratulate Captain Adam Reeves on his retirement from Chelsea Fire & Rescue after 25 years of dedicated service to the City of Chelsea.

Captain Reeves spent the majority of his career assigned to C-Shift Battalion 30 and has been an important part of the department’s growth and success over the years. During his time with Chelsea Fire & Rescue, he witnessed and contributed to the department’s expansion from one station to three fully staffed stations.

Thank you, Captain Reeves, for your leadership, commitment, and years of service to our community. We wish you a happy and well-deserved retirement!

Last week, a few of our members attended FDIC International 2026 in Indianapolis, one of the largest fire and rescue conferences in North America.

They took part in lectures and workshops while exploring the latest in fire service equipment and technology—bringing valuable knowledge back to better serve our community.

We’re proud of the members who attended and grateful for the support of our Mayor, City Council, and Fire Administration for making opportunities like this possible.

Last week, a few of our members headed to Indianapolis for the Live Fire Training Camp at the Fire Department Training Network.

Over three intense days, they got hands-on experience in realistic fireground conditions, including zero-visibility forcible entry, high-heat interior operations, hoarder fire scenarios, RIT drills, search techniques, and basement fires.

Great training, great experience, and a great opportunity to sharpen the skills we rely on.

We’re grateful for these guys and their hard work and dedication.

We are aware of the burning taking place as part of the land clearing for the development on Chelsea Corners Way. The company conducting this work is operating within all applicable regulations.

All required safety measures are being followed, and the activity is being monitored to ensure compliance with local and state guidelines. We understand that this may be a concern for nearby residents and appreciate the community’s patience as this phase of the project is completed.

📢STATEWIDE FIRE ALERT REMAINS IN EFFECT📢

Statewide Fire Danger is HIGH today!
The Northern half of the state is classified as a High Fire Danger, while the Southern half has increased to a Very High Fire Danger classification.

We continue to urge everyone to avoid outdoor burning as we remain in drought conditions.

For clarity - this is not a ban on outdoor burning. This is a public notice to increase awareness of the drought conditions. As always, if you are burning over a .25 of an acre, you must obtain a burn permit from AFC's dispatch center.
