"You Give Us the Call…We'll Give You the Answer." The SAVE team is staffed by veterans from the current conflict and family members of Veterans.

SAVE - The Department of Veterans' Services in collaboration with the Department of Public Health, has a Statewide Advocacy for Veterans’ Empowerment (SAVE) program that assists Veterans in need of referral services and seeks to prevent su***de and advocate on behalf of Massachusetts’ Veterans. SAVE acts as a liaison between Veterans (and their families) and the various agencies within the federal

and state government. SAVE Outreach Coordinators focus on community advocacy, su***de prevention, mental health awareness, and referrals as well as respond to the needs of Veterans and their families. The SAVE team meets with Veterans and their families out in the community, bringing the resources directly to the Veteran.

The Department of Veterans Services has had the distinct pleasure of collaborating with Carolyn Casey and Project 351 over the past 3 years. The youth-led volunteer program has succeeded in engendering the next generation of community service leaders.

This weekend, Ambassadors and Alumni of Project 351 were honored to read the Governor's Memorial Day Proclamation at patriotic gatherings from the Berkshires to Cape Cod. They truly valued the opportunity to convey their respect and gratitude to those who courageously served and who gave the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our freedoms.

We applaud Project 351’s unwavering dedication to fostering community development and volunteerism across the commonwealth.
