🗺️ First Day of Summer Camp at the Boys & Girls Club at Jefferson Lincoln Elementary! 🗺️

Today, Club members received their Travel Passports and began an adventure through South America! Along the way, they will explore geography, learn about different cultures and discover that learning can happen far beyond the classroom.

This summer, youth will travel the world without ever leaving Lewis County—exploring new places, trying new activities, building friendships and creating memories that last long after summer ends. 🌎✈️💙

We still have openings in our summer programs!

📍 Robert W. Balmelli Clubhouse (Chehalis) – Full-Day Summer Program | Grades K–12

📍 Boys & Girls Club at Jefferson Lincoln Elementary (Centralia) – Full-Day Summer Program | Grades K–6

📍 Boys & Girls Club at the United Learning Center (Centralia) – Summer Arts Series | Ages 8–16 | Half-Day Program | Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays

🚌 Youth enrolled in our Jefferson Lincoln Summer Program can also be transported to and from summer school.

☀️ Summer Camp starts next week and there is still time to register!

Yesterday, Executive Director Sarah Althauser represented Boys & Girls Club of Lewis County at Lewis County Reunification Day, connecting with families, youth and community partners while sharing information about our Summer Camps and Club programs.

We loved the opportunity to connect with families, answer questions and share information about the opportunities available for youth and teens throughout Lewis County.

At Club, we believe every young person deserves caring adults, positive opportunities and a place where they belong.

Summer Spotlight: Healthy Lifestyles 🌱

At Boys & Girls Club of Lewis County, we believe young people grow when they have opportunities to learn by doing.

We’re grateful for community partners like Julie Gullett of Foundation Farms who help create hands-on experiences that teach lessons far beyond the garden bed. As youth plant, water and care for a garden, they learn patience, responsibility and delayed gratification. They discover that growth takes time and that consistent effort matters.

There’s something powerful about watching a seed become something they helped grow—and seeing the fruits of their labor.

These experiences help build confidence, perseverance and healthy habits that can serve youth for years to come.

☀️ Summer Camp is filled with opportunities for youth to create, explore and discover new interests.

One of our members’ favorite spaces is the LEGO Room, where creativity and learning come together through hands-on experiences. Youth can explore with LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Prime kits, take on building challenges and enjoy plenty of free-build opportunities. We also have a special LEGO display shelf where members can leave their creations, continue building on them throughout the week and proudly showcase their work for others to enjoy.

Beyond building, youth are developing a growth mindset, perseverance and grit. Whether a creation works the first time or takes several attempts, members learn that challenges are opportunities to learn and grow. They discover that success often comes from trying, adjusting and trying again.

From robotics and coding to creativity and teamwork, the LEGO Room encourages problem-solving, imagination and hands-on learning—one brick at a time. 🧱✨

It’s training week and we are gearing up for an amazing summer of programming! ☀️

While Club is closed this week for staff training and preparation, our team took some time to reflect on the school year and celebrate all that was accomplished together. We are incredibly grateful for the youth, families, staff, volunteers and supporters who helped make this year such a success.

We also celebrated Faithe with a beautiful cake made by our Chief Operating Officer, Nani. It was a special opportunity to recognize Faithe’s impact, celebrate her growth and cheer her on as she takes the next step in her career journey. We are grateful for all she has contributed and excited to see what the future holds for her.

As we look ahead to summer, we’re excited for new adventures, hands-on learning, friendships and fun! We’re especially grateful for the incredible team that carries out our mission every day, helping youth reach their full potential. We are also excited to welcome back several returning staff members this summer, whose experience, energy and dedication will help make this an unforgettable season for our Club youth.

🎓 Congratulations to the Class of 2026! 🎓

From all of us at Boys & Girls Club of Lewis County, we are proud to celebrate graduates across our community.

This milestone represents years of hard work, growth, perseverance and grit. As you begin your next chapter, keep believing in yourself, keep pursuing your goals and keep becoming the person you are meant to be.

And in everything you do, choose kindness. It will take you farther than you know.

We are proud of you and excited to see what comes next.

If you have a photo of your graduate or graduation celebration, we’d love to see it. This is a moment worth celebrating! 💙
