It’s a sad day here at Jim Lucas Checotah Public Library. Jamie is going back to Warner Public Library, now that they have reopened. It has been a great couple of years with her. But much like one of her eggs from this year’s summer reading program, we have to let her go. Checotah will miss you.

Great things are happening behind the scenes at Jim Lucas Checotah Public Library! 💻📚 In August 2025, the library was rewired and received a new network cabinet through a Category Two E-Rate LSTA Grant.

The improvements provide a stronger foundation for the technology, internet access, and digital services available to the Checotah community.

We are thankful for this important investment in our local library!

This project was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the Oklahoma Department of Libraries.
