The Town of Chazy is seeking a Part-Time Town Clerk / Tax Collector.

Responsibilities include:

*Maintaining town records
*Assisting residents with town services
*Collecting and processing property tax, water, and sewer payments
*Preparing reports, correspondence, and other municipal paperwork
*Performing general clerical and administrative duties
*Working with town officials, residents, and the public in a professional manner

Qualifications:

*Strong organizational and communication skills
*Professional, courteous, and dependable
*Comfortable working with computers and standard office software
*Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle financial information accurately
*Previous clerical, bookkeeping, or customer-service experience preferred

Town Clerk Hours Update

Please be advised that there will be a change to the Town Clerk’s office hours moving forward.

The Deputy Town Clerk will be available on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

If the Deputy Town Clerk is unable to be in the office during one of these scheduled days, a notice will be posted in a timely manner to keep residents informed.

We appreciate your understanding and patience during this transition, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience these changes may cause.

🚰 Hydrant Flushing Notice

The Town’s Water Operator will be flushing hydrants this Saturday and next Saturday.

Residents may notice temporary discoloration or cloudiness in their water while hydrant flushing is taking place. If you experience discolored water, please run your cold water for a few minutes until it clears.
