What an awesome service we had tonight at County Line Community Church! The Spirit of the Lord was truly in the house, and we were blessed by His presence from beginning to end.

Tonight, we preached about “Honey in the Rock” from Psalm 81:16. We were reminded that even in the hardest, driest, and most difficult places of life, God is still able to bring forth something sweet. The rock may look hard, the season may feel barren, and the situation may seem impossible, but there is still honey in the rock!

God does not always remove the hard place, but He will sustain us in it. He can bring water out of a rock, make a way in the wilderness, and give us sweetness in the middle of our struggle. What looks like a place of difficulty may become the very place where God reveals His provision, power, and faithfulness.

Do not give up in the hard season. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep pressing forward. There is still a blessing in that place, there is still provision in that rock, and there is still honey waiting for you!

We are so thankful for everyone who came and worshipped with us tonight. God is doing something special at County Line Community Church, and we give Him all the praise, honor, and glory!

Sometimes we ask God to remove the very mountain He has placed before us to strengthen us.

An old gospel song says, “Lord, don’t move that mountain; give me the strength to climb.” There is a powerful truth in those words. Not every obstacle is sent to destroy you. Some mountains are there to develop your faith, build your endurance, and prepare you for what God has waiting on the other side.

If you’re walking through a difficult season today, don’t lose heart. The same God who began a good work in you is faithful to complete it. He has not forgotten you, and He has not abandoned you.

So keep climbing. Keep trusting. Keep praying. Every step upward is making you stronger, and every trial is producing something eternal in you.

“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” — Philippians 1:6 (KJV)

Don’t quit on the climb. The God of glory will never forsake you or let you down.

So many of us spend our time asking God for His hand to bless us, provide for us, heal us, and make a way. Those things are wonderful, but tonight my prayer goes even deeper.

Lord, let us see Your face, not just Your hand.

Your hand can meet a need, but Your presence changes a life.

We don’t just need another blessing. We need another encounter.

We don’t just need answers. We need Your Spirit.

We don’t just need miracles. We need the Miracle Worker.

Lord, let Your presence fill our homes, our churches, and our hearts. Draw us closer until knowing You becomes greater than receiving from You.

“My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God…”
Psalm 42:2

Lord, let us see Your face, not just Your hand.

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” Proverbs 18:21

We cannot continue agreeing with things that are contrary to the Word of God. We may have our own plans, desires, and opinions, but our plans are not always God’s plans. We can ask God for anything, but if what we are asking contradicts His Word and His will, God is not obligated to honor it.

The truth is, none of us have any room to boast. Apart from Christ, our flesh is rotten to the core. We are not saved because we are better than somebody else. We are not saved because we have never made a mistake. We are saved only through the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Without Jesus, every one of us is lost and in serious trouble.

Many people do not want to hear that truth today. It is easier to point out everybody else’s failures than it is to examine our own hearts. Some people have become so critical of others that they have started calling their criticism “holiness.” They call it “discerning fruit,” but much of the time, the Word of God calls it gossip, backbiting, and sowing discord.

Real holiness will cause us to examine ourselves before we examine everybody else. Real discernment does not make us proud, cruel, or eager to expose people. It makes us prayerful, humble, compassionate, and careful with our words.

Before we speak about somebody else, we need to ask ourselves: Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it spoken in love? Does it bring healing, or does it cause more hurt?

We all need the same grace. We all need the same mercy. We all need the same blood.

Without Jesus, we are all in trouble.
