We’re looking for female volunteers to serve as Dinner Hosts for Rooted Together, our cohort program that supports mothers as they work toward stability. Dinner Hosts help provide a meal for the monthly gathering, with dinner ready by 6 PM for the moms and their children.

September is Hunger Action Month, a time to bring awareness to food insecurity and the impact it can have on individuals and families in our community.

Hunger can affect anyone. It can mean worrying about running out of food, choosing between groceries and other essential expenses, or even skipping meals.

This year, when pantry needs outpaced what we could source through our food bank partners, we stepped in. We distributed 316 food boxes, totaling 23,220 pounds of food, directly to neighbors who needed it.

Take a look through our carousel to learn more about food insecurity, its impact in our community, and our current pantry needs. Together, we can take action this Hunger Action Month.
