Where Art Meets Nature 🎨

We have an exciting announcement: our Reflection Flyway mural is newly reimagined by Fellow Zoe Rye. This new artwork builds upon the original mural created in 2022 to feature a full ecosystem with native plants, wildlife, and conservation efforts at Reflection Riding.

Throughout the project, Syd Conklin, our Facilities and Grounds Steward, helped support the vision. Together, Zoe and Syd used conservation-led artistic expression to create the beautiful wrap-around mural! We remain deeply grateful for all of the artists that have helped bring creativity to Reflection Riding, both past and present.

If you'd like to celebrate the mural unveiling and our new renovations at the Welcome Center, come to our Welcome Center Open Hour Happy Hour this Friday, September 4, from 5-7 PM. Please RSVP here: https://share-na2.hsforms.com/2aaKiB30-RhODO-S9wiJNng41nm9o

SAFE Update: 25 New Turtles 🐢

We're thrilled to announce that we've just received 25 new Eastern Box Turtles from the Lincoln Park Zoo . As members of the SAFE North American Turtle program, we collaborate with partners across the country to rescue native turtles from the illegal pet trade so they may be returned to their wild home. While geneticists track their home territory, long-term holding facilities like ours care for these animals and treat any diseases they've contracted along their journey.

We're thrilled to be partners of such an important program. Thank you for helping us protect one of nature's most amazing creatures!
