The Chattanooga Fire and Police Pension Fund will hold its biennial election for one Fire and one Police seat on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the locations outlined below.

The Board will count ballots and appoint Board officers and committees during its regular Board meeting on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. (ballot boxes will be sealed and initialed until they are opened during the regular meeting).

Important: All members must provide a State or Department issued Photo ID to cast a ballot.
Police Lieutenant Joe Shaw will be running unopposed for the police seat. Elections for the Police Department will only be held at the Pension Fund Office.

Fire Captain Scott Sparks and Fire Captain Robert Roark will be running for the fire seat. Elections for the Fire Department will be held at the Fire and Police Training Center and the Pension Fund Office. Please refer to the candidate statements on the link below:
