Our world is in a terrible situation on all fronts! I'm not just speaking about the current ongoing global Pandemic Coronavirus with it's
increasing variants~ I am specifically addressing the issues surrounding our HUMANITRIAN CONFLICT!
The sermon was a perfect fit this past Sunday~ December 26, 2021.
"Christmas in Chaos". Peace on Earth, and good will for every human being around the world echoed throughout the Sanctuary!
My wife and I sat in our den watching the 8 am service via LIVE STREAM on YouTube.
I must confess my reactions to the worship experience does not change because I am watching from home! I still shout; "Preach it like you feel it, Pastor!" Amen and Hallelujah can constantly be heard in our home during the sermon! (Exactly as though we were actually IN church!)
Sometimes I wonder if Christians really believe God is watching. After God has blessed us to remain ALIVE another year~ despite all the calamity occurring around us from one second to the next~ we still seem to be unthankful and ungrateful! What will it take for us to wake up?
May I please address the issue concerning the violent incident which occurred during the 10:45/11:00 am service on Sunday. Eventually, we must put this isolated incident behind us. We are NOT the first, or the only church to have this type of violent scenario played out. I am deeply thankful and grateful that no fi****ms were involved! (I can hear someone saying.... "don't say that")
Whether I say it, or someone else says it, the raw truth is that church shootings are right up there with all the other forms of criminal violence that has become commonplace in our society! (school shooting, Mall shootings, and yes~ church shootings)
Many folks have become so fearful of violence and shootings they have literally STOPPED going to church!
(And being under the strict regulations of the Government, the C.D.C. with Mask mandates, social distancing, etc.) church attendance has decreased severely!)
Regardless of all these turmoil's, the church LIVES within me, and in my home! As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!
It hurts me to my heart when I see the church being dismantled through violence, hate, and fear. It's nothing more than the TRICK OF THE ENEMY! SATAN! THE DEVIL! But we must ask ourselves one question: what role we are playing in allowing these wicked forces to operate in, and around our church?
I believe and know in my heart that my desire is to be part of the solution before this situation escalates into something much more critical.
First and foremost, we must go back to the original plan God has already established, WATCH AND PRAY!
We are praying for the entire Olivet Nation Baptist Church family. We LOVE our church, and we will do whatever is necessary to protect those who are members of the body of Christ and follow PEACE and GOOD WILL with ALL humanity!
We are going to finish STRONGER than ever before in 2021 as we move POWERFULLY into 2022! To God be the Glory for blessing us to be a blessing!!
