REMINDER:

Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, in partnership with Outdoor Chattanooga, is offering a free bicycle tour of the Chickamauga Battlefield on Saturday, October 24 starting at 8:30 am at the lower parking lot of the Chickamauga Battlefield Visitor Center. This unique tour is approximately 4 miles in length, will last about 3 hours, and is appropriate for children 10 years and older, when accompanied by an adult.

Loaner bicycles will be available for those in need with PRE-RESERVATION at the link below for riders 5 feet tall and over at no charge thanks to sponsorship from National Park Partners.

Well, think of it as a mini road system where both kids and adults can practice riding bikes, learn the rules of the road, and build confidence. And all without real traffic!

LEARN TO PAINT LIKE THIS! Tonight 5-7pm. FREE!!
Join Outdoor Chattanooga’s Adventure Staff Artists for a fun and creative Silver Adventures experience at Coolidge Park! Take inspiration from the beautiful Tennessee River and iconic Walnut Street Bridge as we explore the art of plein air—or open-air—painting.

Participants will learn basic watercolor and plein air techniques before creating their own painting inspired by the outdoors. No previous painting experience is needed—just come ready to learn, create, and enjoy the scenery! All materials are supplied.

The program will meet at the Outdoor Chattanooga building for check-in before heading into the park to paint.

Walk-ups are welcome. Bring your own watercolor supplies if you have them (otherwise we will supply!!), and come ready to paint, explore, and enjoy the outdoors.

Meet under the Walnut Street Bridge in Coolidge Park near the River....you will see us!
