What do you think of this: Our last Chamber meeting turned into something special. Amy Seymour – Workforce Analytics Manager and Shannon Clark – Remote Experience Manager from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee, reminded us what modern leadership really looks like: listening, adapting, and building trust from day one. They've pulled back the curtain on how they’ve built a remote-first model that works—with 89% of employees working from home and engagement scores that rival on-site environments.
They shared what really moves the needle: team connection, role clarity, and leadership that listens. Fun fact? The two most predictive factors of employee retention have nothing to do with the job title—and everything to do with how someone feels about their team and if the job matched what they expected.
