Chatsworth Water Works Commission is located in Chatsworth, GA. Chatsworth is nestled in the northern part of Georgia at the foot of Fort Mountain. On January 3rd, 2006 the utility moved into a new 31,250 square foot facility in order to cons

olidate our operation. By locating in one central location we were able to streamline our operation and therefore lower our operating costs. Chatsworth Water Works Commission is actively involved in seeking new innovative ways in which to improve customer service in the most economical manner. We have expanded our water supply capacity by partnering with the City of Calhoun and Dalton Utilities. This partnership provides additional MGD (million gallons per day). We are also partnering with Ocoee Utility District for an additional 300,000 gallons per day.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ACH BANK DRAFT CUSTOMERS

Due to the evolving concerns about cybersecurity and data breaches, and customer expectations that their personal and financial information is secure and protected, Chatsworth Water Works Commission (CWWC) will initiate a change to enhance the data security of your ACH bank draft payment processing. CWWC will take this important step with our current third-party payment processor, Global Payments. As a PCI Compliant, Level 1 Processor, Global Payments takes all the necessary steps to ensure your data is protected from any breaches. The effective date of the transition is July 1, 2026.

Current ACH bank draft customers will need to enroll in Autopay through our Customer Portal. If you choose not to enroll in Autopay, you can still pay your bill via mail, in the office, or make a one time payment online.

Current ACH bank draft customers must unenroll from their current ACH bank draft prior to registering for Autopay. This can be done by calling our office or completing the Unenrollment Form on our website.

Customer Portal Registration is required prior to July 1, 2026, for any bills after June 30, 2026.

The Unenrollment Form and instructions for registering for the Customer Portal are available at chatsworthwater.com

Georgia Environmental Protection Division Declares Drought Response Level 1

On April 27, 2026, after consideration of the drought severity and the water resource impacts, the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) declared a state-wide Drought Response Level 1 for public water systems using surface water and/or groundwater. EPD has been closely monitoring drought conditions in Georgia for months, and on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, EPD held conference calls with public water systems to discuss current water supply and EPD’s consideration of issuing a Level 1 drought response. Following the conference calls, the public water systems had three days to submit any additional feedback before EPD could proceed with a drought response declaration.
