Today we celebrate Juneteenth! At our most recent Council meeting we were honored to welcome the charter members (and members)of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Pi Theta Omega Chapter, including Chapter President Reba Blake, to receive a ceremonial copy of our Juneteenth resolution. Thank you to Chatham resident and AKA member Judy-Ann Hargrove, and gratitude for the service to our community and beyond to the members of AKA.💚💕🙏

What a day!! Our Fishawack festival was better than ever this year!! Amongst the booths, bouncy houses, food trucks and performances, and after the Fishawack fun run, we honored exceptional volunteers who have gone above and beyond for our community. We welcomed Congresswoman Analilia Mejia, Assemblyman Andrew Macurdy, as well as Mayor Jen Rowland of Chatham Township and Mayor Bob Conley of Madison. Those who had the stamina were able to enjoy the Jaycees beer and wine garden until 6:00! There are so many to thank, but our sponsors, volunteers, DPW and Chatham Borough Police Department deserve big shout outs, and the biggest shout out goes to Leslie Williams Ellis who coordinated everything from start to finish! Bravo!! And thank you, Mother Nature, for cooperating until after 6pm—good day, sunshine!!☀️😃👏

🌾🌱🌷What a lovely way to spend the afternoon! Thank you to the host gardeners, docents, the Senior Center of the Chathams, Chatham NJ and the Town and Country Garden Club of the Chathams. Each garden was its own little universe, lovingly cultivated by each gardener. Beauty is all around us!
