Start time pushed back 30 minutes tonight in Rochester due to the heat

🏈 VARSITY | NEW KICKOFF: 7:30 PM

Varsity is now scheduled to kick off at 7:30 PM, and temperatures will continue to be monitored throughout the evening.

If Rochester Mayo pushes the start time back to 8:00 PM, we will post the update.

Players should still arrive at the originally scheduled bus time at Chaska High School (ready by 3:15pm). They’ll remain inside the building until departure, and buses will leave with a slight delay to keep everyone safe and cool.

For anyone not traveling to the game — or for families who want to gather locally — Cy’s Bar & Grill will be streaming the game live tonight and would love to see a packed house full of purple and yellow.

And a fun bonus: If Hawks Varsity holds Mayo scoreless in the second half, Cy’s will do half‑price wings for dine in orders. 💜🏈

In Government, Mrs. Harvieux engaged students with an anticipatory set by having them discuss and reflect on the concept of power and government. In English, Mrs McElligott hosted a book tasting with a French motif, giving students and engaging way to explore new books. Mrs. Ibberson’s class explored natural resources and sustainability, connecting learning to real world issues. In Spanish, Mrs. Schriever’s students responded to vocabulary through action bringing language learning to life. In Mr. Gonzalez‘s culinary class students practice scaling recipes by making cookies. As any baker knows, measurement is everything. It was a great day to be a Hawk!

Fall sports are heading into week two for varsity contests! Girls tennis has two home matches, while boys and girls soccer are home on Thursday for a doubleheader. Catch the Volleyball team on the home court on Thursday as well. Football heads to Rochester Mayo on Friday!
