2025 Charlton Democratic Town Caucus

Charlton Democratic Town Committee (CDTC) members are hosting the 2025 Democratic Town Caucus to select delegates to attend the Massachusetts Democratic State Convention. The caucus will convene at 12:30 PM, Saturday, May 10th, at Charlton Library. All Democrats registered to vote in Charlton are invited to participate and are encouraged to run for convention delegate. The convention will take place on September 13 at the MassMutual Center in Springfield.
The caucus is open to the public and press, but only Charlton's registered and pre-registered Democrats are eligible to run and vote. Pre-registered Democrats must be at least 16 years old on the caucus date. Same-day registration is allowed. Those running as a delegate or alternate should be present at the caucus to be elected. However, if there are not enough candidates present to fill all delegate and alternate positions, two-thirds of those present and voting may move to have a candidate's name placed in nomination despite the candidate's absence, provided that the candidate has notified the Chair of their interest in running.
Charlton Democrats will vote to elect 6 delegates and 4 alternates to represent Charlton at the convention. Those not selected as a delegate or an alternate and who meet the qualifications can apply separately to be an add-on delegate in the following categories: youth, minority, disabled, LGBTQ+. Or ask about being a convention volunteer.
Registration will open at 12:30 PM. The caucus will begin at 1:00 PM. The caucus doors will close at 12:45 PM. Everyone waiting in line to register at 12:45 PM will be admitted to the caucus. Anyone arriving at registration after 12:45 PM will be designated as a guest and will not be able to run for delegate or to vote.

This guy is not a Weld or a Baker and the days of voting Republicans into the Governor's office should be over. If and until a normal, non-maga conservative party arises from the ashes of the Republican party we should not even consider them for any office.

This guy was housing and economic development secretary under Baker, a job that requires creating policy with a long horizon for results. And what did we get out of his policies? A huge housing crisis in Massachusetts with a shortage of affordable housing and skyrocketing costs, exacerbated by a lack of new housing production and exclusionary zoning practices, that Healey has had to grapple with.

Without a lot of options for republicans in Massachusetts, lots of money is going to get pumped into a race like this. Don't let them fool you.
