At this week's Piedmont Pitch competition, Ctrl Alt Recycle and Penny's Imperfect Pizza, took home top honors and an equal share of the $15,000 prize money pool. They competed against four other entrepreneurial ventures, all of whom had outstanding pitches and business plans.

🎷🎶 Calling All Jazz Fans 🎶🎷

Next week, the Downtown Mall will come alive with the sounds of jazz as Charlottesville launches JazzFest 2026, a four-day celebration designed to spotlight world-class talent, local musicians, and the energy of one of Virginia’s most iconic public spaces.

Held in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the Charlottesville Downtown Mall, JazzFest 2026 will feature performances across multiple downtown venues, June 4th through 7th. The festival will also include a special two-night Club Circuit event, bringing live jazz into restaurants and nightlife venues throughout the Downtown Mall area, all with no cover charge!
