The Charlotte Region has added an eighth Fortune 500 company to its roster with the release of the 2026 Fortune 500 rankings. Ingersoll Rand climbed 15 spots to debut on the Fortune 500 at No. 494.

The Charlotte Region closed Q1 with continued investment and stable job growth — and compared to Q1 2025, announced jobs and capital investment nearly doubled.
