It's perfect time of year to do the "Bursting Buds" activity with your students or family.

As days become longer and temperatures increase, dormant leaf buds begin to stretch or elongate before revealing a tree’s new leaves. In this activity, students will observe, measure, and track this growth. They will observe trees and collect evidence to investigate how environmental factors associated with changing seasons affect leaf growth.
