Community Support Services is a human services department of Mecklenburg County government, created to maximize partnership and collaborative opportunities to better provide service to customers. CSS has three divisions: Prevention and Intervention Services, Homeless Services, and Veterans Services. The primary purpose of this page is to highlight the department's programs, services, partnerships

and events. Our Vision: To be the innovative leader in providing veteran services, and in preventing and intervening to end homelessness, substance use, community and domestic violence. Our values, or the guiding principles we use in doing our work, are Accountability, Collaboration, Customers, Dignity, Employees, and Integrity.
