This weekend, we honored 27 years of faithful and honorable service as SgtMaj Scott Edwards made his final post and retired from the Marine Corps.
SgtMaj Edwards will be remembered for his mentorship, experience, and calm, steady leadership through myriad challenges. His dedication to his Marines and the Corps leaves a lasting legacy.

During Valiant Shield 2026 in Okinawa, LCpl Isaacson, Engineer Maintenance Co, 4th Maintenance Battalion, 4th CRR, 4th MLG was recognized by the Commanding General, III MEF, for outstanding performance operating cold spray technology to restore mission degraded equipment. During a Commanders’ Symposium in June, leaders from 4th Maintenance Battalion participated in off-site professional development at the Charlotte Police and Fire Training Academy. The symposium brought together senior enlisted leaders and officers to exchange leadership insights, explore emerging advanced manufacturing capabilities, and receive guidance from the Commanding Officer of 4th Combat Readiness Regiment.
The event provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen collaboration, share best practices, and enhance readiness across the battalion. We extend our sincere thanks to the Charlotte Fire and Police teams for hosting us and providing access to their outstanding training facility.

Marines with 4th Maintenance Battalion, 4th Combat Readiness Regiment, 4th Marine Logistics Group graduated from Martial Arts Instructor Course (MAIC 55-26) in March, training qualified leaders to further enhance the lethality of their Marines through a rigorous 2-week course. These Marines put in long hours and maximum effort physically and mentally learning to teach Marines when to flip the switch. One mind, any weapon.
