Exciting news for affordable housing in Charlotte!
The City of Charlotte Government City Council just approved a $26.4 million investment through the Housing Trust Fund to support 13 developments, bringing more than 800 affordable homes to our community. That includes housing for families, seniors, and first-time homebuyers, with many units set aside for those with the greatest need.
We’re encouraged to see partnerships with faith communities, Habitat for Humanity, and others helping create more opportunities for people to find stable, affordable housing while keeping long-term affordability in mind.
It’s a strong step forward in expanding access to housing across Charlotte-Mecklenburg and building a community where more people have a place to call home.
