📢 COMMUNITY NOTICE: DOOR-TO-DOOR CANVASSING

The City of Charlotte has been notified that Working America, a community affiliate of the AFL-CIO, will be conducting door-to-door canvassing in the greater Charlotte area beginning August 27, 2026, and continuing through at least November 8, 2026.

Residents may see canvassers in neighborhoods primarily during the late afternoon and evening hours, generally between 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

According to information provided to the City, Working America canvassers:

• Are professionally trained
• May wear red safety vests identifying their affiliation with Working America
• May carry prominently displayed photo identification cards
• Will be speaking with residents about membership and issues affecting working families
• Are not selling products or soliciting funds

The City is sharing this information simply to make residents aware that door-to-door canvassing will be taking place in the community during this time period.

As always, residents are encouraged to use their own discretion when answering their doors and are not required to engage with individuals who come to their residence.

Have a unique collection tucked away in a barn, garage, attic, or outbuilding? Know someone with an incredible collection and a great story behind it? American Pickers is hitting the back roads of Michigan and looking for large, rare, and unusual collections!
They’re especially interested in things like vintage signs, motorcycles, old toys, advertising items, military items, early furniture, vending machines, jukeboxes, folk art, unusual collections, and more.

Our new automated payment system is available by calling 517-541-4267.

📱 More Ways to Pay at City Hall
City Hall can now accept additional forms of payment, including Apple Pay and Google Pay.

⚠️ IMPORTANT – AUTOPAY CUSTOMERS
If you were enrolled in AutoPay through our previous payment system, you will need to re-enroll in AutoPay with the new system.
