Who are we? The Charlotte, NC Officer Selection Team covers all colleges and universities in upstate South Carolina and western North Carolina. We select future Marine Corps Officers. Are there any requirements during the school year? We are NOT an ROTC program. Outside of your normal classes, there are no requirements. Who is eligible for our program? We will help you to determine what it takes to become a Marine Corps Officer. What programs are available? We have 3 programs that are available to future Marine Corps Officers: Law, Air, and Ground. Below is more information about each program:
LAW
-Enter as a Judge Advocate
-Unlike the civilian sector, you will earn valuable courtroom experience immediately upon entry
-Fields include criminal litigation, operational and international law, and civil law
-Earn opportunities for advanced law educational programs provided to you at the cost of the Marine Corps
-Ability to advance while you are in Law School; enter active duty as high as a Captain (O-3) in the Marine Corps
AIR
-Guaranteed slot into flight school after meeting initial prerequisites
-Fly one of the following platforms: rotary wing, fixed wing (jets or props), and tiltrotor
-Choose between becoming a Naval Aviator or a Naval Flight Officer (guaranteed jets)
-No prior flying experience is required
GROUND
-Choose between 22 different Military Occupational Specialties (MOS) including, but not limited to, infantry, tanks, communications, logistics, air traffic control, aviation maintenance, combat engineer, and intelligence. If I decide that this career path is no longer for me, can I discontinue the program? One of the best parts about our program is that you may discontinue it at any point prior to commissioning as a Second Lieutenant without any obligations
