Celebrating Small Business Month and the entrepreneurs who keep our corridors thriving! Proud that Charlotte’s proposed budget includes $600,000 to support Business District Organizations and Main Street programs across the city.

Excited that organizations serving District 3, including the and are eligible to apply for these resources to continue uplifting local businesses and community spaces.

Charlotte is at a crossroads.
The proposed I-77 expansion, from Uptown Charlotte to the South Carolina line, has sparked serious concerns about longtime neighborhoods, especially in historically Black communities.
City Council is calling for more transparency, community partnership while alternatives are explored, including non-toll and multimodal options.
Big decisions should reflect the voices of the people they affect. May 11 could be a key moment.

District 3 continues to be a key driver of Charlotte’s growth. A $200M+ logistics campus near the airport will bring 200+ jobs — many that don’t require a college degree.

I’m worked with the petitioner to ensure these opportunities connect directly to our community — including partnerships with local high schools and community colleges so current residents benefit first.

Growth is happening. Let’s make sure it works for D3.
