This summer Sunrise Charlotte is getting out, talking to our communities and building power. Join us to talk to Charlotteans about their climate concerns while working towards building a strong base for us to launch people-powered efforts into 2024.

We will be out every Friday in July from 4:30-8:00 pm in a different area around Charlotte.

In preparation for the People’s Hearing Against Rate Hikes on June 10th, we are having an art build! 🎨

Learn more about the unfair rate hikes Duke Energy is proposing, hear from speakers, and learn how to take action!

Join us on June 3rd at 3:30 p.m. as we canvass the city to educate the people of Charlotte about the upcoming rate hike proposed by Duke Energy.

If approved by the NC Utilities Commission, this rate hike would take place over the next three years and would result in an electricity bill increase of more than $200/household.

We'll be canvassing in neighborhoods around the city to let people know about the rate hike hearings, invite them to our upcoming People's Hearing on June 10th, and educate them on what they can do to fight against the hearings themselves.
