President Trump is taking action to lower your electricty bill and is directing $85 million in federal energy grants to help restart the Warrior Run coal power plant near Cumberland, MD!

Reopening Democrat-closed power plants like Warrior Run has been the #1 call-to-action of the Maryland Freedom Caucus’s 4-point plan to lower energy costs for over a year.

🏅 MARYLAND FREEDOM CAUCUS TOPS CONSERVATIVE SCORE CARD FOR SECOND YEAR

The new Institute for Legislative Analysis Score Card is OUT and the Maryland Freedom Caucus brings home "all As" for the 2026 session.

This GOP Platform-Aligned Score Card shows voters who keeps their campaign promises and sadly, who falls very short.

“Republican voters deserve to know who actually delivers on the platform they campaign on,” said Delegate Matt Morgan, Chair of the Maryland Freedom Caucus. “For the second straight year, Freedom Caucus members led because we kept our word. We voted for limited government, lower taxes, constitutional rights, secure communities, parental rights, and the conservative values our constituents sent us here to defend.”

While Maryland Freedom Caucus members delivered, too many other Republicans slipped. Two dozen GOP lawmakers dropped more than five points from last year’s scores. That drift is unacceptable.

“Maryland families are getting crushed by higher taxes, skyrocketing energy costs, soft-on-crime policies, and assaults on parental rights while the Annapolis one-party machine grows more extreme,” said Vice Chair Delegate Kathy Szeliga. “This is no time for Republicans to drift left or water down our principles. Voters sent us to be a strong conservative voice. We will stand our ground and fight for the promises we made.”

Maryland’s Lt. Governor was asked about the mail-in ballot error affecting voters. Her response? “Sometimes this stuff gets mailed wrong” and it “happens almost in every election.”

That should concern every Maryland voter.

Ballot errors should never be accepted as routine! This demands transparency, accountability, and safeguards to ensure every eligible voter receives the correct ballot and can trust the process.

Remember the movie The Big Short? Banks chasing risky bets couldn't handle honest scrutiny, so they shopped around for ratings agencies willing to slap a shiny AAA label on junk and pretend everything was fine, until the house of cards collapsed.

Fast-forward to Annapolis, where Democrats just fired Moody’s. It was not because the analysis was flawed, but because they despised the result. Maryland received its first downgrade since the 1970s, from AAA to Aa1. Now S&P just flipped Maryland’s outlook to negative. What about those pesky questions about closing a $3 billion deficit?
The messenger has become the villain.

This is The Big Short all over again, except now it’s big-spending Democrats hunting for friendlier ratings instead of Wall Street. When fiscal reality won’t rubber-stamp your out-of-control agenda, just cancel the agency and declare victory. This is classic hypocrisy.

It’s an election year, Maryland. We don’t have to consent to this decline. That’s a choice. This November, choose limited government, fiscal sanity, and personal responsibility over managed decline.
