Display your work on our Community Room Art Wall!

We still need two artists who are interested in exhibiting their work on our Art Wall during the months of January and February 2027. If you are an artist who creates flat work of any kind/medium that can be displayed on a wall and are interested in displaying your work this winter, please visit our website art page at www.charlevoixlibrary.org/art and scroll down to our Art Wall Submission Form. Specify January or February on the form and we will be in touch within the next 3-5 business days to finalize the details.

In the event we get multiple artists interested in January and February, we will hold a lottery-style drawing to choose an artist.

We have many programs and events during the winter months, so this is a great way to get your art in front of an audience during our "slower" time of year!

Andi Gerring, Art Historian & Retired Professor, will lead our discussion to examine the meaning of the term “iconic” as it is applied to famous works of art. For three decades following World War II, the Great Lakes overtook Europe as the epicenter of global economic strength. Leaves Changing: Photoperiod & Tree Biology

Join LTC environmental education staff at the Charlevoix Public Library for an evening exploring what is actually happening inside a tree when northern Michigan turns color!

Fall foliage is one of the most visible biological events of the year, yet the mechanisms driving it are surprisingly little discussed. We'll look at why some years blaze more brilliantly than others, and what soil, moisture, and temperature have to do with it.

This all-ages program is designed for anyone who has ever pulled over on a northern Michigan road in October and wanted to understand what they were actually seeing.

Wild Wednesdays happens every 2nd Wednesday of the month.
