FBI warning about Phishing scam.

Today the FBI released a warning the public about Kali365—an emerging Phishing-as-a-Service (PhaaS) platform. Kali365, first seen in April 2026, enables cyber threat actors to obtain Microsoft 365 access tokens and bypass multi-factor authentication (MFA) protocols without intercepting the user’s credentials. The platform allows less-skilled attackers access to AI-generated phishing lures, automated campaign templates, real-time targeted individual/entity tracking dashboards, and OAuth token capture capabilities.

Case Update: Theft from Yard / Porch Thefts

The Charlevoix Police Department would like to provide an update regarding the recent increase in thefts from yards and porches in the area, including the incident reported near May Street and E. Garfield between April 22–23, 2026.

Through investigative efforts, officers identified a suspect in connection with these incidents. Search warrants were executed at a residence, where some of the reported stolen items—including property taken from the May Street area—were recovered.

During the investigation, additional stolen property was located, and officers identified other victims. These included residents whose items were taken from their yards or porches, as well as property reported stolen from a local workplace associated with the suspect.

The investigation has been submitted to the prosecutor’s office, and the Charlevoix Police Department is seeking charges against a 61-year-old Charlevoix man.

We appreciate the assistance of community members who checked camera footage, reported suspicious activity, and provided information that helped move this case forward.

Residents are encouraged to secure outdoor items and report thefts when they occur. Please continue to report suspicious activity immediately by calling 9-1-1. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact the Charlevoix Police Department at 231-547-3258.

Thank you for your continued support in helping keep our community safe.
