🏴☠️ CES Pirates are ready to LEVEL UP into another great week!
We hope everyone is enjoying the long Labor Day weekend! Just a reminder that there is NO SCHOOL tomorrow, Monday, September 7, for Labor Day AND no school for students Tuesday, September 8, for a scheduled teacher workday. We’ll see our Pirates back at CES on Wednesday!
Here’s your quick Sunday look at what’s happening at CES:
🏈 CHS Homecoming Week | September 9–11
We’re joining in the Homecoming fun with three spirit days!
Wednesday: Sideline Style — BBQ Dad, Soccer Mom, coach, athlete, or sports fan
Thursday: Once Upon a Time — fairytale or storybook character
Friday: Pirate Pride — Pirate gear or black and blue!
Don’t forget about the Homecoming Parade Thursday, September 10, and the Homecoming Football Game Friday, September 11!
📣 Game Day Cheer Tryouts | Grades 3–5
Tryouts are coming up September 16–18 in the CES gym. Students will learn the cheer, chant, and jumps on the first two days, with tryouts on day three. Dismissal will be at 5:00 PM through the gym doors. The Game Day Cheer Tryout Form is linked in this evening’s full newsletter.
PTO News
Our next PTO meeting is Wednesday, September 9 at 6:00 PM. The next restaurant Give Back is Thursday, September 17 at Chick-fil-A from 8 AM–8 PM. Orders must be placed through the mobile app with “Support Community Cares” selected for CES PTO to receive 15%.

👨👧👦 All Pro Dad Begins September 28
All Pro Dad is kicking off the new school year with breakfast, a character-building lesson, and time for dads or father figures to connect with their children. The program is open to CES students in Preschool–5th grade. If a father figure is not available, a female adult is welcome to attend.
The Launch Party is Monday, September 28 from 7:45–8:45 AM. Questions can be sent to Donnie Roark at [email protected].

📱 Statewide Cell Phone Policy
Indiana’s statewide “bell to bell” policy requires personal wireless communication devices to remain put away during the school day. This includes cell phones, smartwatches, tablets, gaming devices, smartglasses, and other personal devices capable of wireless communication. Please check the full newsletter for additional details.
