Forgive our graphic making abilities, no AI was used (it's clear...right?). Seafood Festival is here this weekend and with it, TRAFFIC CHALLENGES. Please be patient this weekend, it is going to be HOT and HUMID. Please see below and take note.
Please do NOT use the Old Post Rd exit near South Shore Mental Health/Gateway Health. Using this exit clogs local traffic to residents who can no longer get in or out of their homes. Please use the Old Post Rd exit by the Chamber of Commerce.
During heavy traffic times (usually Saturday night between 4pm and 8pm), there MAY be traffic diversions temporarily closing down the "turn arounds" and forcing traffic further South on Post Rd to where the Krystal Penguin Inn and Monahan's Clam shack traffic light is. By using this "jug handle" intersection, we are keeping festival bound traffic to the low speed lanes of Post Rd to take the Chamber exit. If this is not done, festival bound traffic will attempt to cross Post Rd at these "turn arounds" in extreme heavy traffic and when no one let's you in, you are sitting blocking all of Post Rd as a traffic hazard.
