Charlestown has much to offer the visitor with its rugged hills, deep ravines, the Fourteenmile Creek valley and the Ohio River. While hiking the rugged terrain, you will see Devonian fossil outcrops and areas of karst sinkhole topography. We held off as long as we could, but the forecast is not changing. 100% chance of rain through 10 pm has forced us to cancel tonight's Full Moon Hike.

On the bright side, all this rain will reward us with lots of wildflowers, and morel mushrooms (if you're lucky enough to find them) so consider taking a hike Sunday, or sometime next week!
