📚 We have been looking forward to having Shawn Poe Blackaby bring PaperPie to one of our markets all summer, and it is finally happening!

Shawn was scheduled to join us earlier this summer but had to reschedule. Now she will be at our Second Saturday Night Market on October 10 with PaperPie, formerly known as Usborne Books & More. She will have children’s books, learning activities, toys, and more.

Come check out her selection on Saturday, October 10, from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Outward Bound Building!

One of the things we love most about our market is the people who have become part of it. Today, one of our vendors is facing an unimaginable loss after the passing of her mother, and we want to surround her with the same support and kindness that makes this community so special.

Like so many families, she is now facing the difficult reality of trying to come up with the money for a burial while grieving the loss of her mom. No one should have to carry all of that at once.

This is where community matters.

If you can give $5, give $5. If you can give $10, give $10. And if you have more to give in your heart and in your pocketbook, please do. Every contribution brings her family a little closer to being able to lay her mother to rest with the dignity and love she deserves.

And if giving isn’t possible right now, sharing the GoFundMe matters too. The more people we can reach, the more those $5, $10, $20, and larger gifts can add up.

She has shown up and been part of our community. Now it’s our turn to show up for her. ❤️
