The RLC is the conscience of the Republican party. We need your help in making our voice louder and influence stronger. Please send us a message if you'd like to get involved in making our state a better place using free market economic policies!

I recently took my family to the beach for vacation.

The highest gas prices i saw on our journey back to the Mountain State, traveling through South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia, was $2.52 for regular unleaded. The cheapest fuel price as we returned to Huntington through WV was around $2.77 but on average, prices were over $2.80.

That's quite a tax on us Mountaineers. Have you ever asked yourself why we are bleeding population faster than every other state in the Union? It's the progressive policies pushed by the Democrats for over 80 years that are being continued by the new Republican leadership in the Statehouse.

Raising taxes, raising fees, raising bonds, and on the eve of the demolition of the I-77 tolls, we not only permit them to remain plundering, but give the autgority to plunder twice as much.

If you are sick of the government taking and taking, use your voice. Don't wait until November to cast your vote; get involved with a campaign in your local area. Candidates all up and down the ballot need your help with getting out their message.

You can do so much with your voice. You can make an impact. Be the change you want to see.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) wants to end the U.S. government's ability to detain people indefinitely, arguing that it violates Americans' Sixth Amendment rights to a speedy and public trial.

Republicans should just give up claims of fiscal conservatism after only 26 of them voted for a budget that balances by 2023, lead by Lindsey Graham's cries that it would weaken the military.

It's sad that people go around spreading false information , especially during election season.
The comment made pertaining to AG Morrissey not supporting the RLC is blatantly false.

Supreme Court Justice Samuel Chase made history as the only Supreme Court Justice to be impeached. The House of Representatives voted to impeach the Justice for using his position to advance his partisan politics. Chase, a fellow signer of the Declaration of Independence, found himself at odds with then President Thomas Jefferson. Chase was acquitted by the Senate and continued to serve as a Justice until his death in 1811.

The People have a duty and obligation to remove individuals from power when they violate their oath of office. Should former Justice John Paul Stephens still be serving in the highest court, we would surely be having the conversation as to whether to impeach him. Yesterday, Stephens penned an op-ed calling for the repeal of the Second Amendment. Stephens' predecessor, Justice Chase was one 55 signers that believed your rights don't come from the government; they come from your Creator. The Bill of Rights was not an articulation of privileges granted by the government, but an agreement by our fledgling government to a skeptical citizenry that these rights will be protected by the government.

Your rights come from God and government is instituted to guarantee no one tries to take your rights away.

President Trump has proposed some of the most outrageous tariff hikes in recent history. These tariffs are intended to promote the "America First" mantra, encouraging US companies to utilize domestic resources for production. While these policies have good intentions to increase domestic employment and manufacturing, there is a greater potential for a downturn in the economy. Consider the following analysis on how the Smoot-Hawley Act exacerbated the depression of 1929:
