The Charleston Regional Chamber of Commerce (WV) was founded on October 26, 1900. The early work of the Chamber of Commerce was marked by interest in civic affairs, especially in co-operation with the city political and administrative bodies in the adjustment of taxation and the development of improvements. Today the Chamber is active in advocacy at the State level on advocacy for pro-job, pro-ent

repreneurial policies. It has led policy discussions and advocacy for talent recruitment, spurring more angel investing through policy, innovation, addressing the student loan debt crisis, and increased funding for the STEM based EPSCOR program.
